Vegetables That Make Your Skin Glow

We all know that vegetables give us important nutrients like proteins, vitamins and carbohydrates which are vital for our good health. Besides these, vegetables can also give us beautiful and glowing skin which we try so hard to achieve through products. What most people do not realize is that natural materials like fruits and vegetables can give us the soft and glowing skin we crave and strive so hard to achieve through products. Through juicing with the help of a juice extractor, you may mix different vegetable juice to create a paste to get benefits from various vegetables. Let’s discuss some vegetables and how they can make our skin beautiful.

Tomatoes

You probably see tomatoes lying around in your kitchen often. What you did not know about the tomato was that it contains alpha hydroxyl acids which help balancing the PH level of skin. They also provide lycopene compounds which firm out your pores and naturally moisturize your skin leaving it feeling fresh. For glowing and fresh looking skin you can either apply tomato pulp to your face, wash it off after an hour or you can rub slices of tomato on your face for a few minutes and wash it off. You also have the option of juicing out the tomato with a juicer and mix this tomato juice with lemon juice and apply to face.

Potatoes

Potatoes are those vegetables that we consume on a regular basis but what we don’t know about these is that besides being an excellent source of carbohydrates, they are also very good for our skin. Potatoes contain elements that help in making your skin less oily and they also help to lighten skin. If you suffer from oily skin, rubbing a piece of potato on your face will help you solve that problem. It is that simple! Also, darker areas on your skin like knees, elbows and upper lip can be made lighter by rubbing potato on it.

Cucumbers

Cucumbers have been a vital ingredient in most beauty products for a long time. Cucumbers are rich in vitamins and amino acids that can help with dry skin, allergies and dark skin. Cucumbers, if used on a daily basis, can also solve your black head problems as well as wrinkles. Cucumbers can be put through a juicer, to create cucumber juice. This process of juicing creates juice that can instantly have your skin feeling fresh and glowing after a long day of work.

Many of these vegetables can be juiced to create a juice. However, you must make sure that you buy the best juicer that is on the market. Consider this a long term investment. To gain the most out of these vegetables, you should be juicing them on a regular basis. If you are applying vegetable juice to your face and your juicer is one of poor quality and hence breaks down, you will be without a juice extractor till the time you replace. During this time, you will be without your daily vegetable juice and your skin will suffer as a result.

6 Guidelines For A Juice Cleanse

Maybe someone you know has done a juice cleanse and talked about their great results. If you want to try it yourself but don’t know how, just read on.

Juices used to just be something we drank to give us a change from water, tea and coffee. Now, we realize how healthy they can be, and also delicious! They are recognized as being very efficient when dieting, or when you want a healthy detox.

Because a juice cleanse is a liquid diet, it can only be used for a short period of time, ranging from 1-30 days. Any longer, then you should have medical supervision. A juice cleanse is an effective and extreme form of detox, because of the absence of solid food.

Fruit and vegetable juices are great sources of live nutrients for your body. They are digested easily, so they do not aggravate your digestive system. Another benefit is that juices give your body time to remove toxins without absorbing new ones. The bonus is that your liver has time to rejuvenate and repair itself. You can blend or squeeze your fruit and vegetables, whichever is easiest for you. A few examples to use are: apples, cranberries, pineapple, beets, carrots, celery, cabbage, kale or spinach.

Now, I would like to suggest a few guidelines for a successful Juice Cleanse.

1. Take a Juice Cleanse in the Spring, or at least in the warmer months. When it is cold, drinking juice alone is not enough to sustain you.

2. A week before you plan to start your Juice Detox, reduce or cut out such foods as eggs, sugar, meat, fish, dairy products, coffee, smoking and alcohol.

3. You need to drink around 32-64 ounces of juice every day. Space the drinks regularly throughout the day. Mix whatever you fancy but avoid citrus fruit as it may cause stomach upsets.

4. Always use fresh fruit and vegetables, as unlike processed food, they are loaded with live enzymes, essential to a rejuvenation, and, they obviously have no preservatives.

5. If you find the juice only diet too difficult, then take one small meal a day of steamed vegetables and or a salad. There is no point being miserable. This is meant to be good for you.

6. When you have finished your juice cleanse, go back to solid food gradually, otherwise it is too great a shock for your digestive system to handle. For example, on the first day after your detox, eat steamed vegetables and a fresh fruit. Build up slowly over 5-6 days until you are back to eating normally. This is also a good time to improve your overall eating habits for long-term positive change.

Even when you are eating normally, still make up some juices to drink, rather than eat something unhealthy in between meals. A Juice Cleanse is a great way to detox your body. You will have the added benefits of a loss in weight, glowing skin and more energy. So, get Juicing!

Ideas on Setting Up a Mobile or Pop Up Juice Bar

It’s a zany world, ‘pop up’ restaurants, shops, bars, cafes, comedy venues, you name it are popping up all over the world’s major cities. This type of temporary retail outlet is ideal for the seasonal juice bar, but what do you need to set one up juicing equipment wise?

Maximum Flexibility and Reliability

Here are a few suggestions from us, hopefully these make sense and help out. One of the things the discerning juice customer is now looking for is a cold pressed juice, this basically rules out using a centrifugal juicer to make the juices. The problem here is the gaping black hole in the availability of small commercial cold press juicers. So, to offer cold pressed juices we recommend using one or more heavy duty domestic vertical slow juicers, this will give you small, portable juicers that can cope with hard use, are quiet, efficient and high yielding. We would recommend looking at these juicers:

The KT2200 vertical slow juicer

The Greenis F-9010 vertical slow juicer

and the Omega VERT slow juicers

The idea here is to spread the workload over multiple juicers to allow them to cool down between juicing sessions and to keep the machine lifespans as long as possible while also giving your juice bar some extra reliability if there is a problem with one of the juicers. Multiple juicers will also allow a good production rate when business is brisk. Sticking to the same make and model will give interchangeable spares. The juicers above consume about 250 watts each and are an inductive load, so this opens out possibilities for solar powered juice bars. A good solar array on the roof combine with a deep cycle battery bank and inverter can give you all the power you need.

A good blender is also required, a decent blender will blend in soft fruits and fleshy produce and serve as a mixing tool to blend in ice and easily cool drinks before serving. Blenders can be highly strung pieces of equipment, they run at high speeds and can get bashed about a fair bit in normal use, so try and get a good quality blender or smoothie maker such as a BarTec Professional Blender we recommend the 435 or the 329cc. Make sure your power supply can handle these loads though!

The Theatre of Live Juice Making

Machines running, noise, action and produce flying around the place makes for a great show and we totally recommend that this is part of your pop up juice bar or cafe, however to survive you’ll need to capitalise on busy periods so making each juice to order may slow things down too much. You can maximise profit potential by pre – making juices ready to mix in your cold press juices or even filling juice bottles and capping them off filled with ready-made juice cocktails.

All or Nothing

Customers won’t arrive in a steady stream, it will be groups and quiet spells so be prepared for the nature of things, previously we have filled a kiddies camping bath tub with water and ice as an inviting ‘cold store’ for ready-made juices.

Wheat Grass, Shots, Juice Boosters and Protein Powders

Another inviting way to boost trade is by offering a selection of juice boosters such as wheat grass shots (either on their own like tequila or blended into the juices and smoothies) or super food powders. BE CAREFUL here as these things have potent flavours that aren’t to everyone’s taste and we would strongly advise getting a separate wheat grass juicer like a Matstone 6 in 1 juicer, this will allow you to produce unlimited wheat grass shots without the potent green mega juice contaminating everything else. Freshly juiced wheat grass is a great aroma; it will draw customers into you.

Full Commercial Machines

When you get busy you may want to make the switch to a full commercial or industrial juicers but be prepared, these machines are large, heavy and time consuming to clean. They are, however virtually indestructible and when volumes go up, they are the beasts you need. We recommend juicers by Robot Coupe, Santos and Nutrifaster.

OK GOOD LUCK to anyone starting a new business you have our respect and support! Let us know how we can help!

Homemade Facial Cleanser

Since, it has already been discussed the homemade facial mask and facial scrub, it would complete your beauty regimen through making a facial cleanser of your own. And just like the previous remedies, this would be easy for you to make. Your surrounding is your great source of course. This would be very ideal for those who are looking for ways to treat their acne breakout and considering the practicality of it. Here are some simple yet effective remedies that you could use as your facial cleanser.

1. Squeeze the flesh of a pineapple fruit until you have at least 3 tablespoons of the   juice . You can  mix  the  juice  with two sugar or baking soda. If you have a very sensitive skin, better use sugar. Baking soda has a stronger content than sugar. So if you know that you have a skin type which easily get irritated, then sugar is the ideal one for you. Just  mix  2-3 tablespoons of sugar or baking soda with the  juice  until you have a paste texture. Apply it with a ball of cotton. Let it be on your face for about 5 minutes. After which, rinse your face with warm water.

2. If there is no available pineapple, you can try using tomatoes. This is rich in Vitamin A which is very friendly to skin. It also has an anti-inflammatory property. You can try mixing it with baking soda or sugar as well. Follow the procedure from the previous item on its application.

3. If you are not in the mood in blending or mixing, plain yogurt is for you. You can simply apply it on your face like a normal facial cleanser.

4. One of the easiest remedies you could make is to  mix  water and lemon  juice  of equal amount. Simply wash it on your face.

The Juice Cleanse

A  juice  cleanse is a liquid diet which uses squeezed or macerated fruits and vegetables. Using a  juice  cleanse is a good source of antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins. The most popular fruits and vegetables used are pineapples, cabbage, green vegetables, beets, apples, carrots, cranberries and spinach.

Using this form of detox requires only liquid consumption with no solid food consumed. A  juice  cleanse can only be done for brief periods of time with the normal length being only 1-3 days. Any longer could be unsafe to your health.

The benefits to a  juice  cleanse is that fruits and vegetables are loaded with nutrients and vitamins and can be digested easily. This allows the body to remove toxins without absorbing new toxins and also gives the liver time to repair itself.

It is recommended to start a  juice  cleanse in warm months. A week before you start the cleanse, eliminate the consumption of eggs, red meat, sugar, alcohol, dairy products, caffeine, and fish. Replace with vegetables, fruits, or beans.

You should consume the  juice  through out the day not all at once. 32-64 ounces of  juice  should be consumed every day. Mix up the fruits and vegetables to your liking but avoid citrus fruits because they can upset the stomach.

If you think that just drinking  juice  for 3 days will be tough, you can eat one small meal a day along with your  juice  consumption. The preferred meals should be of a dietary nature and consist of: brown rice, beans, cooked potatoes, lentils, cooked green vegetables, and fish. It is best to steam your foods and avoid meats such as red meat, chicken, and turkey.

Once you have finished your diet period, go back to solid food gradually. Add two fruits and some steamed green vegetables. Increase the foods and amounts slowly. After five to six days you can include chicken and fish.

A  juice  cleanse will cleanse your body of harmful toxins and bring your body back to its normal state and functionality. It is a demanding process while your body is being cleansed, just stick with it, the rewards and benefits of the cleanse will be satisfying.

The Many Uses of Lemon As a Health Supplement

The lemon is a hybrid citrus tree of cultivated origin. This fruit is used to make   juice  while its pulp and rind are meant for other uses. Citric acid makes up about 5% of lemon  juice  which has an acidic (sour) taste and a pH of about 2 or 3. Due to the acidity, lemon  juice  makes a readily available acid for use in high school chemistry laboratory experiments. Lemons thrive in tropical and sub-tropical climates but can not flourish in frost and extremely cold temperatures. They require an abundance of water but should be permitted to dry out between watering.

Lemon  juice  is normally sprinkled onto fish dishes because its acidity can neutralize the basicity of the amines found in fish thereby converting them an ammonium salt complex. Furthermore, lemon  juice  is widely used, in conjunction with other ingredients, when marinating meat before cooking. The citric acid can denature, or break down, the cadherin and cadhesin proteins that hold the meat’s muscle fibers together. Therefore, use of lemon  juice  allows the meat to become tender. It is a myth that lemon  juice  makes a good antibiotic. In reality, lemon  juice  that is sprinkled on freshly cut fruit such as pears helps to prevent oxidation (or browning of fruit).

Some people choose to eat lemon as a fruit. By doing so, be sure to consume water afterwards to help wash the citric acid and sugar from the teeth. Failure to do so can promote a favorable environment for tooth decay and other diseases of the dentition. One hundred mL of lemon  juice  contain about 50 mg of vitamin C and 5 g of citric acid. In Ayurvedic medicine, it is believed that a cup of hot water with lemon  juice  in it can cleanse and purify the liver.

Lemons are ovoid in shape and light yellow in color and have a thick, rough skin when ripe. When buying lemons, be sure to choose smooth-skinned lemons in case you plan to store lemons for a period of time in your refrigerator. Lemons are plentiful in many food nutrients such as citric acid. They are widely used for medicinal purposes due to their citric acid and vitamin C content. In addition, they are highly regarded for their  juice  which is many times used as an accessory to food. Lemon  juice  has the ability to improve the flavor and increase the taste of many different dishes.

According to Jethro Kloss in his book Back to Eden, he writes that lemon is “an antiseptic, or is an agent that prevents sepsis (the presence of pathogenic bacteria) or putrefaction (tissue decomposition).

For those who have symptoms of indigestion such as bloating, heartburn, and belching, they will find that lemon  juice  can promote relief. By drinking lemon  juice  on a regular basis, the bowels can eliminate waste more efficiently thus minimizing constipation and diarrhea.

Other nutrients found in lemon include potassium 48.3%, calcium 29.9%, phosphorus 11.1%, and magnesium 4.4%. Lemons have been found useful in treating conditions such as asthma, colds, coughs, diphtheria, liver problems, scurvy, and rheumatism.

Scientists advise that lemon water should be used in every person that has a tolerance for it. That is, if there is no allergic reaction to lemon (as a small percentage of the population does have a true allergic reaction to lemon) and no active ulcers, then all children and adults should ingest lemon water. The  juice  in lemon provides a natural strengthening reagent to liver enzymes by helping to affix oxygen and calcium in the liver to regulate blood carbohydrate levels, which, in turn, affects blood oxygen levels. The liver can manufacture more enzymes out of fresh lemon  juice  than any other kind of food.

To treat a sore throat,  mix  one part lemon  juice  with one part water and gargle frequently. For those who have asthma, ingest one tablespoon of lemon  juice  one hour before every meal. For those with liver problems,  mix  the  juice  of one lemon with hot water and drink it down one hour before eating breakfast every morning. To break up the flu or influenza,  mix  the  juice  of one lemon with hot water and drink it down while at the same time soak your feet in water with mustard added to it. To relieve heartburn,  mix  two teaspoons of lemon  juice  with a glass of water and drink. To treat rheumatism, one or two ounces of lemon  juice  diluted in water should be taken three times a day…one hour before each meal and once at bedtime. To treat scurvy, take one to two ounces of lemon  juice  diluted with water.

There are many benefits to drinking lemon  juice  including the prevention of different kinds of disorders, viruses, and diseases.

  • Oral diseases: Due to the high concentration of vitamin C, this property of lemon  juice  helps to strengthen the gums and teeth. It is also highly effective in the prevention of acute inflammations of the margins of the gums, cavities, and other oral diseases.
  • Digestive problems: Lemon  juice  promotes the flow of saliva and gastric  juice  and is looked upon as an excellent digestive agent. It helps to kill intestinal parasites and eliminates gases that form in the gastrointestinal tract. This  juice  is very beneficial in treating several digestive anomalies such as dyspepsia (acid reflux) and constipation. Drinking fresh lemon  juice  with water easily relieves acid reflux.
  • Rheumatic affections: Even though lemon has a sour taste, its reaction in the body is basic (or alkaline). Taking advantage of this valuable information can allow one to treat rheumatic affections such as gout, sciatica, low back pain, hip joint pain, and rheumatism, which all result from too much acidity in the body. Taking in adequate amounts of lemon  juice  can prevent the deposition of uric acid crystals in the tissues and thus help eliminate the possibility of an attack of gout.
  • Circulatory problems: Lemon  juice  is not only abundant in vitamin C, it is also a rich source of vitamin P (bioflavonoids), which is found both in the  juice  and the peel of the fruit. Vitamin P is essential for controlling bleeding in a variety of conditions and for promoting capillary integrity. Lemon is highly regarded as a valuable food medicine in the treatment of high blood pressure and arteriosclerosis.
  • Foot relaxation: Soaking your sore feet in hot water is a great way to relax the feet. Then you rub your feet with fresh lemon  juice . The heat from the water will promote opening of the pores while subsequent application of lemon  juice  will provide a cooling, astringent effect. It is believed that this method also promotes healthy sleep.
  • Throat problems: Throat disorders such as catarrh, choking sensations, and itching sensitivities can be relieved by the properties found in lemon  juice . A ripe unpeeled lemon should be roasted slowly until it starts to crack open. Then harvest one teaspoon of its  juice , add a small amount of honey, and ingest it about once every hour. Sip it slowly.
  • Fevers: Lemon  juice  is a great thirst-quencher when you are suffering from pox, scarlet, measles, and other fevers. These fevers promote dehydration, polydipsia (extreme thirst), and very hot and dry skin.
  • Cold: If you suffer from a bad cold,  juice  two lemons and combine with 500 mL of boiling water. Add honey, and take at bedtime. Again, sip it slowly.
  • Cholera: The properties of lemons can kill cholera bacilli instantaneously. Lemons are very effective for this purpose when freshly  juiced .

As you can see, lemon  juice  has many uses as a health supplement. If you are looking for a natural healing alternative to prevent some of the conditions listed here, pick up some lemons at your local grocery store.

Fruit And Vegetable Guide For Creating Juicing for Weight Loss Recipes

Before listing the best fruits and vegetables for creating juicing for weight loss recipes there are a few important guidelines to keep in mind.

Most important is to beware of sugary fruit. Here is a partial list of high sugar content fruits that you should consume only occasionally: Plums, oranges, kiwifruit, pears, pineapple, tangerines, cherries, grapes, pomegranates, mangos, figs, and bananas. Yes, these are favorites but they will hinder your weight loss progress.

Also important is to mix juicing with a sensible diet. Juicing-only diets are not advised. They are potentially dangerous to your health. Such radical dieting should never be attempted without first consulting a physician.

As far as the number of times you should juice per day when juicing for weight loss, 3 times is adequate. Drink a juicing combination for breakfast and again for a mid-morning snack. Then eat your largest meal of the day for lunch. Follow with another juicing combo in the afternoon and then a moderate evening meal.

To create your juicing combinations select from the following vegetables and fruits:

Grapefruit, lemons, and limes- These should be your primary choices when adding fruit juice to your juicing combos.

Apples- The good news is that apples are about as good as it gets. They are sweet but a low glycemic fruit. Apples provide many health benefits including supporting healthy blood-sugar levels. When you need some nutritious sweetness for a combination include an apple.

Ginger- Just a sliver of ginger can provide flavor enhancement for many of your juicing combinations.

Carrot- Surprise, surprise! That veggie that your mom tried to get you to eat actually produces a sweet and delicious juice that will enhance your veggie combinations. Carrots aid digestions, cleanse the live, and provide high levels of beta-carotene.

Spinach- Also on your mom’s list of favorites and for good reason. Spinach is rich in chlorophyll and calcium and helps to alkalize your body.

Cabbage- Yes, there really is something to cabbage for weight loss. Most importantly, cabbage is a potent antioxidant. Use cabbage liberally in juicing combinations.

Cucumber- Best for juicing is a variety called English cucumbers. This variety is more flavorful and doesn’t overpower the flavors of other ingredients.

Tomato- As strange as it may seem, although acidic, tomatoes actually help reduce acid in the body. They help stimulate blood circulation, cleanse the liver, and work to purify the blood. They are also wonderful flavorful additions for your juicing combinations.

Beetroot- This is another vegetable that is good for your blood. Beets are also particularly good for your kidneys. Another benefit of this vegetable is that it adds sweetness to your combinations. Just don’t over do it.

Lettuce- There are obviously many varieties of lettuce. For the purpose of accessing the most nutrients stick to the dark-green types of lettuce. Lettuce is alkalizing and mineral rich. Most green vegetables are alkaline rich and aid in maintaining a proper alkaline/acid pH balance in your body.

Watercress-This veggie is often overlooked but it should not be. Watercress is a powerful intestinal cleanser and toxin neutralizer. It’s particularly good for the kidneys, bladder, blood circulation, cleansing the skin and serves to burn fat.

Just like any diet plan, to properly use dieting you must be disciplined. The good news is the juicing for weight loss recipes can help you shed pounds quickly.

How to Make Your Own Fruity Iced Tea

A popular addition to iced tea in many restaurants is flavored iced tea. Everyone knows about putting lemon in this drink, but this is a little different. The popularity of adding other fruits besides citrus is a delicious novelty.

An easy way to add fruit flavors to iced tea is to use fruit juices. Look on the shelves of the grocery store for the thousands of choices adding fruit extracts gives to iced tea. There is pomegranate juice, cherry juice, grape juice, orange juice, papaya juice and more. All impart their special flavor to make for an interesting combination.

Use both black tea and green tea to make this drink and fruit combination. Black tea has a strong flavor and does not need to have any special preparation. Green tea has a more delicate flavor. Steep it longer or steep more tea or the fruit juice can over power the tea flavor. Always used loose leave tea when making flavored iced tea. It has better flavor as the leaves are complete. Tea in tea bags is broken causing the essential oils to evaporate and loose flavor.

The amount of tea to fruit extract varies from taste to taste. To find the most satisfying combination many trials and errors may take place. Keep notes on measurements and different additives to it so a perfect recipe is never lost. Start with a ½-cup tea in a glass. Add ½ cup of refrigerated fruit juice. Taste to see if the tea is still viable. If there is no tea flavor there is too much fruit extract. To find the right balance, cut back on the fruit juice and add more tea. On the other hand, if the only thing tasted is tea, increase the amount of fruit juice.

Some fruit extracts have stronger flavors than others. Apple juice has a delicate flavor so an equal amount of tea to apple juice is not an unreasonable amount. Grape juice is different. It has a strong flavor so ¼-cup juice to ¾-cup tea might be just right. Cherry juice has a strong flavor as does orange juice and cranberry juice. Milder flavored juices are pomegranate and papaya. Mix several juices and tea like cherry, pomegranate and tea. Use lemonade as a juice to make Arnold Palmer’s favorite iced tea.

The most important thing is that both the tea and the juice must be cold when combined. This allows for the most mingling of flavors. It is supposed to be cold so do not ruin it by adding warm juice. In most cases, there is no need for sugar because of the natural sweetness of the juice.

Some suggestions for interesting combinations are endless. Mix Oolong tea with papaya juice for a tropical drink. Combine apple and pomegranate juice with green tea and add a squeeze of lemon. Combine green tea with white grape juice. Pineapple and cherry juice work well with black tea. Also, try purple grape juice, pomegranate juice and black tea. There are so many combinations experimentation can be endless and fun.

Juice Diet Helps to Detox Your Body

Those on a detoxification program can benefit from extra vitamins, minerals, enzymes and other nutrients. All of that can be obtained from freshly prepared juice. Juicing diets have been popular for ages. But, why to drink a juice when you can eat a fruit? When you eat the fruits or vegetables, most of the vitamins and minerals get destroyed while passing through the body. A juice from any fruit or vegetable has the same amount of nutrients as the fruit or vegetable. But, juice is digested faster than the food. This is how you get more nutrients while eating less!

Juicing is a consumption of two to four glasses of freshly prepared juice throughout the day while on the juice diet. The emphasis is on “freshly prepared”. Juices do not store well as they lose their nutritional value relatively quickly. Juicing does not mean you should avoid drinking water. On the contrary, continue drinking 2 liters of water daily helps juicing diet work better.

How to make juices? It is advisable to use organic produce. The skin of most vegetables and fruits including lemons can be left on. However, oranges, grapefruits, kiwis, papayas, beets, and carrots should be peeled. Apple seeds should be removed, while grape seeds may be left in. In a juicer use sweet and sour fruits separately. This way, the body can absorb their juices easier. Try to mix apple, melon and carrot without the greens. This combination is tasty and easy to digest. If you have never done vegetable only juicing before, try to use combination of celery, fennel and cucumbers. It is easily tolerated by those just starting out with vegetable juicing. If find the taste too strange, try to mix them with either carrot or apple juice.

When you decide to end juicing, do not just start eating some food. Help your body to get accustomed to your regular diet. The first meal after juicing should be a salad, a juice and an herbal tea. Then you can eat a salad with a warm soup or some steamed vegetables with the juice and an herbal tea. In the next days do not stop eating salads and drinking juices. Do not substitute juice for vegetables after the diet is completed. Eat your vegetable salads and little by little begin adding some organic brown rice, backed potato, or boiled fish. Continue drinking 2 liters of water daily.

Juicing is a great addition to any kind of cleansing. But, it is especially beneficial when doing liver detox and blood cleansing. Most beneficial for the liver are beets and artichokes. Beets help to reduce harmful fats in the liver and are great antioxidants. Artichokes encourage secretion of bile and protect cells of the liver. Juices made from leafy green vegetables contain chlorophyll that can detoxify and cleanse the blood. Fruit juices are great source of vitamins and minerals that help to fight bacteria and viruses in both the liver and the blood.
